I do not write about mastitis from theory alone.
I have experienced it—multiple times.
As a breastfeeding mother, a midwife, and someone trained in homeopathy for midwives, I have consistently resolved mastitis without antibiotics, and without recurrence. More importantly, I have helped many women do the same.

What I learned is simple, yet rarely emphasized:
Mastitis is often a positioning and pressure problem before it is a medical one.
A shift of even one millimeter in latch or breast alignment can create areas of poor drainage. Over time, that stagnation becomes inflammation.
The Hidden Contributors
• Subtle misalignment during feeding
• Unsupported breast tissue, especially in larger breasts
• Pressing the breast away from the baby’s nose
• Chronic exhaustion and nervous system overload
Stress is not a side note—it is a risk factor. Sleep deprivation alters immune signaling, slows tissue repair, and increases inflammatory responses. Mothers who are supported to rest recover faster and experience fewer complications.
Why Antibiotics Often “Work” — Temporarily
Antibiotics reduce inflammatory markers. When the underlying mechanical cause is not corrected, symptoms often return—sometimes more aggressively.
This is why many women experience recurrent mastitis despite multiple antibiotic courses.
The solution is not stronger medication.
The solution is precision, rest, and tissue respect.
